Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain

A trained Political Scientist and practitioner of real-time politics, Dr. Syed Nasir Hussain is the first time Rajya Sabha member from Karnataka. He is a member of the standing committee on Information Technology and Consultative Committee of Ministry of Minority Affairs.

From excelling in student and youth politics to joining mainstream Politics, he has traversed a journey of more than three decades. He is amongst the youth faces of his party and is the National Spokesperson for Indian National Congress.During UPA’s two terms from 2004 -2014, Dr. Hussain served as the Vice Chairman of the advisory committees of two important labor boards in the Government of India.

Dr. Hussain’s areas of interests are geo-politics, foreign policy, politics of development, peoples, culture and contemporary politics.
